The role of the Education Committee is to promote the well-being and effectiveness of Kommon Koz vision to thereby enhance learning and teaching. This Committee will be providing members with current information on educational opportunities available to Kommon Koz and the training of new members regarding ethics, bylaws, technology, professionalism and whatever other pertinent information is deemed necessary. The responsibilities of the education committee are:
To initiate, review, and implement educational policies.
To develop and implement programs and activities which will provide students with the opportunity to achieve the level of knowledge and skills necessary to serve the public with competence and professionalism.
To formulate policy and guidelines for the operation of Kommon Koz.
To create a curriculum which align with state requirements.
To create specific entrance, retention, and exit criteria which includes assessments.
To communicate with Human Resources the guidelines for validating instructor credentials to teach.
To train instructors in creating a high-quality syllabus.
To provide a budget to the Finance Committee.
To provide resources and create online courses including hours/schedules.
